About Senior Pastor
Bishop Dwight L. and Lady W. Diane Green are a ministry team that have served in family ministry for over 47 years. They are the parents of four children: Venice Green-Hogan of Detroit, Michigan; Pastor Dwight L. and Billie Jean Jones-Green, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia, Vivian D. R. Green of Hampton, Virginia and deceased daughter, Lenise D. Green.
They both were raised in christian families. Bishop Dwight Green is the son of the late Bishop Samuel L. and Mrs. Vivian F. Green of Hampton, Virginia. Lady W. Diane is the daughter of the late Deacon Walter and Missionary Savannah Walker of Hampton, Virginia.
The Greens have dedicated their lives to God and community as Servant-Leaders going about fulfilling the great commandment of Jesus, " Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19-20
Bishop Dwight L. Green, Sr. is a gospel preacher and practical bible teacher inspired by the Holy Spirit. His anointed prayer life and prophetic ministry have blessed the lives of many. His pastoral tenure has been distinguished by the creation of a community development corporation, food distribution ministry, and community educational assistance outreach. He is seventh pastor in succession and is currently leading the congregation through the COVID-19 pandemic transition.
Lady W. Diane Green shares with her husband in the over-sight of the women's ministry. She teaches women in the ways of holiness living and the wisdom of training up children in the fear and admonition of God.
About Holiness Tabernacle
Holiness Tabernacle is a Pentecostal-Holiness Church. We embrace the holistic ministry of sanctification and baptism with water and the Holy Spirit evidenced by the speaking with other tongues.
Statement of our Faith:
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired and infallible authoritative written Word of God.
We believe that there is only one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; in His virgin birth; in His sinless life; in is miracles; in His vicarious and atoning death; in his bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father: in his future return to this earth to rule over the nations.
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the rapture the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
We believe the only way to be cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to Act 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.
We believe in the Sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world.
We believe tithes and offerings are God's financial plan for His Church.
We recognize Sunday as the Christian Sabbath.
